Troydm 06-01-2003, 12:44 PM I can't start Maya 5 on Redhat 9 !!!
License is ok and everything is ok but
Maya doesn't start s .
/usr/aw/maya5.0/bin/maya.bin: relocation error: /usr/aw/maya5.0/lib/libFoundation.so: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference
Any1 had this problem ???

hi there ;)
try open a terminal then type
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1 {enter}
then type
maya {enter}
should work
may need to have root access
and you will ned to type above anytime you use a new terminal to run maya

could you not just put an alias in your .bashrc to export the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL and then start Maya?

I am just wondering how can I set some driver like MS Loopback driver on Windows . Something that kind only on Linux. I don't have an ethernet card .
i want to have ethernet address different from 000000000000.
