jeteral 06-01-2003, 09:48 AM I just downloaded the Vray plugin software, and I cant seem to get it loaded. it does install, but i dont see any way to access it.
I have been looking through the book and so far it just explains what a plugin is. I am using max 3
any help is appreciated.

Are you actually saying that the plug is not loaded or that you can't find it ?
Plugins usually are located in sub directories of the Max root, and you must tell Max what to load, by editing the plugin.ini file, located in Max root.
A reason VRay would not be loading, is it would not be mentioned in plugin.ini.
Now if you can't find it, well VRay being a renderer, i would expect it to be found in the "current renderer" rollout of the Render panel.

I was saying both when I was writing the post. But according to you I didnt have it selected as my current renderer.
Thank you so much, I have always wanted to load a plugin and see how it worked. and if it in fact worked better than the default stuff that comes with the program. Well I have heard alot of good things about this vray so i am getting ready to see how it is.
thanks again.
