I think pandabear is honoured that you've made a picture of him.
I didn't saw the movie yet, but your picture makes me sure enthusiastic to watch it. I find it very good that although it's a frontal static pose you bring so much dynamic in it. And also you combine colors very good espacially in the cape.

I've seen the movie (best animated movie this year, in my opinion) and I think you've got the mood right - especially Panda's expression. Also reminds Samurai Jack a little. Good colors. Maybe a bit more work on the background would be nice.
