Its a Pumpkin Fest.

Yet another Pumpkin head. Had a fatal attraction towards the "monster". As usual the plans are big :)

Here are the basic blocking of the model.

Also managed to get a copy of the movie. It was an awesome watch. Pumpkinhead's facial features keep developing as the movie plays on and towards the end he has stronger facial features and starts resembling the dead boys dad. Hope this is not my imagination after a long night :hmm:

Another Update.

Am stuck with 5.6 million polys. Thats about as much as my Laptop will handle. Will now need to be patient each time Z compresses the memory and updates.

Some more detailing and some re proportioning. Some critiques would be most helpful.

Very cool progress man. One thing that can help improving your model is making those ribs less defined and straight. Take a look at some skeleton rib cage references to help you and keep in mind that there's tissue attached between the pairs of ribs (muscles) and in pumpkinhead's case there are also "bridges" of skin between the ribs that make that part to look more organic and uneven. Also, the shape of the front arch of the rib cage is not perfect. It breaks a tiny little bit on the sides (again, some skeleton reference will help you to understand that part). That's the thing that stands out the most so if you fix it, it will improve a lot already.

Thank you 'Kris' for your words of encouragement and the feedback. You have been spot on with your feedback. Plan to take it back a couple of steps and rework the rib cage first up and also have a relook at the overall proportions as well. Need to add more resolution to work with in the rib area as well. Worth going back a few steps to achieve better results.
