hi all
started the 1000 word line, lets keep going. this image was for me more like a make-upartist job, because the inspiration came strait from a photo. I was going here to a mismacht of feelings - on one hand you have the calmness and sweet-overpowered feeling, but then as a contrast a painful hose connection. Makes it more, or less unhuman like robotic feeling. And here also goes a cheers for a photographer Famke Backx.
I had lot of fun trying something else, and paint in somewhat smoother colours then i usually do. it was done in Photoshop, took some 20h.

yeah i always like tubes in the back of the neck...i like that you can see through them....but they need highlights for dimension and they could be less transparent as you go around the cylinder ....that would help make the look like they have more volume.

Great mood indeed, and nice model, she remind me a little of Charlize Theron in aeon flux movie example (http://lh3.ggpht.com/_-oDgBvXBQM8/SBVHUTD43jI/AAAAAAAACNU/LK444lZRXog/Aeon+Flux++1024x768.jpg). But I have to say your drawing is better than the movie was :D. Greets!

Dear Lauri,
I've looked the picture up what has inspired you. I have to say you've made her prettier than the original. The frackles make her more pure. Lovely color use. But I think her hair need more attention. It looks a little bit to much oilbrushstrokes instead of hairstrings. Also the flowers in her hair look a bit illustrator. It attracts to much attention. But besides that it's a nice painting ;)

well tubing and! neck tubes have been most strongly put our mind by matrix, so yeah i guess there is some similar things going on, and also Aeon :)

lynch: i actually tried different tubing styles, and still was not fully ok - you have a point there, thanks for pointing it out!
Peraiia: so you see, i just fell in love to the picture :)
