pretty excited to see where you go with this.
The start looks good so far.

the head is approching the end in maya, if you found some mistake in anatomy don't hesitate to tell me what.

Boy I forgot what a gnarley looking character the penguin was in that movie. The head looks good so far but what about his neck and shoulders. I'm thinking it would be necessary to model his huge hump in the base.
an another wip, a correction for the hand and the body and the shoes. I put the arms after, and the next step for the body is to change some topology of the mesh to correspond to my composition. And HArris, for the head i didn't need to make is neck and shoulders. With is body and is cloth, it will recover this part. And after if it necessary i will make the join in zbrush.
here the posing of the body, in a few day i will make the coat.

Penguin, always one of my favorites! I really like your model. The pose is what sells it for me, has good weight distribution and feels like there's action. Good stuff! cant wait to see the zbrush model!
the mesh is finally ready to zbrush, unfortunatly im going to go on holiday in two days. So i think that when i will come the challenge will be over. So i post my last wip, and i will continue that characters after my hollyday, and then i will put the picture in the wip and progress of cgtalk.

Very realistic. Are you using NURBS for that? Are splines considered better for something so realistic.
thanks cya
all the mesh is in polygons, i made only in nurbs the fur and the clothes and then converted in polygons. And the look realistic is improved by zbrush, but this is just the beginning. I have a problem in my mesh, the head is in a position that i can't make symetrical modification in zbrush, but i think that this problem can help me to make a realistic assymetrical head.

I think you can use the 'use Posable symmetry' In ZBrush, Under Transform options. This should let you symmetrically alter the model, even when the model is posed like yours.
Anyway, you have a great model!
