Hi,
I am wondering which file to edit to edit maya default settings for animation fps. in default it is 24fps
I wanna change this.
At linux there is a folder and maya.env file to change default options. like /etc/skell of unix hierarchy.
is there any similar /etc/skell file of maya at windows?
and if not
how can i change default 24fps to 25 without script job for every new file
thanks

You can do this via the option box of File->New Scene. Or edit the userPrefs.mel in the maya/prefs directory under 'my documents'.

am725f that is not permanent solution unfortunately it just applies that settings for active scene.
new scene options is best solution without editing config files i guess.
but i am wondering
does anybody knows that where does maya keeps those settings in maya app directory?

Maya keeps them in the userPrefs.mel as stated above. Do a search for 'Film' within that file and replace it with PAL or NTSC.
