Is there a loop split option in 3d Studio Max 4. I'm trying to do this Maya Tutorial but it keeps talking about loop split.

I found an option called split but it deosn't work.

Howdy !

As i understand it, what you're looking for is called Connect in Max, works on edges subobject level with Epoly objects.

in edge subobject mode use the Slice Plane feature and then click Slice and it will slice through your mesh, then move the verts according to where you want your edgeloop to be

also, the cut tool is always useful
