Hi there!
I tried to create a photorealistic skin material some time ago. Can't say, wether I made it or not... Anyway, this is the result:

Planar mapping, SDS-Modeling, SSS fake with Naam's great ChanLum plugin. Postwork done in Photoshop.

<edit>Before you ask: she lifts her arms above her head. That's why you can't see them :D </edit>

I love the tatoo
Just an idea, you should lighten the background abit, the black is really intensive on the soft smooth silky skin texture =)

Wow, great skin. How does it act when being animated? Did you do a lot of postprod to get the still to this quality? I guess u used cinema 4d. Any tips or 'stay away froms' you've come accross while making this?
again, it looks great...

Looks great! Yeah her right nipple needs work but I know all about fighting with something only to never be able to get it right (sometimes ya just gotta move on).
What reference for size did you use? Her torso looks a little stretched. I'm guessing that whoever it is has her arms raised high therefore making the breasts stretch and flatten a little bit (hence prompting the comment that someone made earlier about the breasts hanging weird.). It might just be that the size is right but the place where you decided to trim the composition (right before we start seeing her neck and all) just creates an awkward tension that doesn't let us get the relative size of the torso compared to everything else. So it looks a bit stretched.

Hey man!!i like the tatoo!!:D
But i think the model need some works:wip:
btw nice texture:)
Hi there! :wavey: Thank you very much for your comments!
How does it act when being animated? I must admit that I have no Idea. Apart from the problem that the texture is attached via frontal mapping, I don't know why it shouldn't look okay if animated. But honestly: What should move here? You mean...? Bad guy! :shame: ;)
It's C4D. You're right. And it's a lot of postwork, too. Nothing that wouldn't be able to do in 3d aswell, but this project is rather old and I didn't felt like tweaking the model again and again, so I used PS to manipulate here and there...
I made great use of Chanlum and fresnel-effects in this image. That's it. Basically! :D
@BonoMan:What reference for size did you use? My model was "someone else" :p
You are right about the position of her arms. That's what makes everything look a bit streched. You are also right about that it's hard to spot the proportions. I guess that's what makes it seem artificial to me.
Thanks to everyone!

looks pretty good but not realistic. The angle and shadows make the torso look stretched or contorted. If the woman was stretching high, her stomach would also be stretched yet it looks relaxed as if her arms were down.
Texturing rocks~~

Hi PureFire!
Thanks for your comment, though I don't agree with this one. Just test it yourself: Remove your shirt, stand up, arm beside the torso and then lift them above your head, without exaggerating it too much by bending your whole body backwards.
Have a look how your belly behaves: there is just such a slight difference, that you couldn't tell wether it's because of the arms' position or any other characteristic of your body.
But thanks anyway. If I got you wrong, just tell me...

Nice Texturing, however, even in very harsh lighting you would still see some slight color bleed in the sternum area shadow. Skin has layers and a slight translucency to it and that shadow area does not reflect this and so takes away from the realism.
Also, I think the model has too deep of a groove in the sternum area because that shadow is quite large and heavy despited the fact that the breasts are quite small.
