The Production Focus article mentions a technical paper by Ken Museth from DD about terra cotta warrior shattering techniques, but I cant find the aforementioned paper in the Siggraph schedule.

Has anyone found a link to the paper, or was the production focus article mistaken?

thanks!

The article's third paragraph, first word, is missing a letter.

I think I'm going to watch this movie now. I thought it would be silly from the previews, but it seems like it deserves a chance.

It was from a past Siggraph paper. I can try to find out more for you.

Sure - I would be interested in more info.
If you have the title of the paper I can find it in the ACM Portal online.

thanks!

So, I just talked to Ken, and he tells me that there was a paper last year, but this is new work that will be presented at SIGGRAPH on Friday for anyone who will be there. He also said that DD has not officially released the work, yet. I assume that after it is presented, it will be released, but I don't speak for DD or Ken.

Oh cool - is this going to be presented at a session about the show or a DD booth presentation?
Sorry to be Mr. Eager Beaver, I was just interested in checking it out : )

thanks for all the info!

No problem. It's part of the sessions. Here's the link to the SIGGRAPH page with the talk (down at the very bottom).
