I am in the process of making a "monk" type of robe.
Obviously making the robe is pretty easy, but I have a question not specifically covered in the manual regarding complex garments that I hope someone can answer.
I am wanting to make a border on the robe. in real life dimensions,
there would be a 2-3" wide border around the edge of the sleeves, as well as a border along the bottom edge of the robe.
And finally, the robe would open in the front, in an overlapping maner
so that the vertical edge is to the far right of the torso, but still on
the front. (like the Vulcan robes in Trek)
This would also have a border running along it's entire length (vertical). However the flap will not be seen opened, but it I want to model it so it doesn't look like a flat strip of color.
When I make the curves to define the boundary of the robe, would I just
make a completely separate set of attached curves to define the
boundaries of the border or should I just do it in the textures?
thanks.
