When making cuts in an editable Poly or mesh - What do you cut the Faces, or the Poly's - Also is it necessary to cut all around the entire object or can you just cut one side. I am new at this and have found it difficult when making cuts, that I have to rotate the object and reselect the cut tool to continue the cuts.

Any help?

Get CleanCut script. That enables you to interactively cut where you want to cut. It doesn't require you to cut all around the object only on the edges you select.
