Very good work (or WIP yet). I have one question to you- is rendering on Mac faster as on PC? Do you know it,becuase i asked in one thread, but no one answered!

not 3D but how can you have this interface????
arlechinu
06-05-2003, 05:26 PM
he's probably using some software like styleXP for example
that kind of programs allow you to change the look of EVERYTHING in WinXP...
it's probably just an apple-like desktop theme
right, yoda?

A little update.
I have decided to use rhinoceros to model the rim.

looking goooood ! I have seen many people modelling things in rhino and then importing them into max. Do you find that rhino has better modelling tools or what ?
twdsgn
07-12-2003, 09:29 AM
Hi!! :wavey:
For me is more easy to model the rims with nurbs than polygons, and i think that rhinoceros is the best way to model using nurbs.

Very promising! Should be a great model in the end.
I was puzzled with the screenshot at first, too!

Very high level of detail! I like it ;)
...I'd need better computer first before I could even think about modelling something that detailed :p
Great model IMO, keep it coming! :scream:

Absolutely Perfect:eek: I cannot see a itsy bitsy mistake.Man u must be really a great modeller. Why not write a turorial for us newbies?
Wanna see it textured and rendered and please tell us how do u do these both things when u r finished with it.

My computer can hardly digest my car now that it is finished, and my finished scene will have 3 cars in it. I set the viewport to show bounding box and with 2 cars it is just about to crap itself :)
Good workaround to this is to put stuff on layers and then show/hide them. Also, turn off meshsmooth.
