View Full Version : Drawing splines in freehand (?) and importing them

I was wondering if Maya allows you to draw the splines in a vector based program like Freehand , and import them into Maya.

Yes Maya allows you to do so. But you have to enable the plugin responsible for that option. Go to : Windows > Settings / Prefferences / Plugin manager. Look for MAYATOALIAS and activate it. You will now have the abbility to import and export all different extensions. You should also look to the vector drawing program, and check for the formats you can export in.

stick with the adobe illustrator file types .ai and you'l be fine.
