This meeting our special guest presenter will be Jerry Hambly - Director of Education and Training for Robert McNeel and Associates - makers of Rhino 3D CAD software. Jerry will demonstrate the basics of NURBS modeling using Rhino and a technique for porting modo models into CAD NURBS using the T-Splines Rhino plugin.

With the Luxology SIGGRAPH 2008 SolidWorks and Bentley announcements - the topic of CAD integration with modo is even more relevant and exciting than ever!

Also - the announcement of FREE Rhino and SketchUp translator/importer plugins later this month further solidify the Luxology commitment to supporting these workflow directions...

Hi,

In the Siggraph video, they are saying the new Nexus development of handling high poly counts and instancing (the Rhinocerous and Picasso segments) will soon become part of modo. I was wondering if this means it will be in the same league as XSI with its Gigapolygon core ... ie. being able to edit large scenes with lots of dense meshes imported from ZBrush for example without choking.
