Hey the co the made marai and nendo doesn't have their site up anymore...

anyone have any news about this???

Have we seen the last of Marai and Nendo?

For the past week or so they have had a "well be back soon" message on there site. The site is probably down for updating. From the recent chatter about the place I think we may see a new version of Mirai very soon.

Consensus of opinion on the Mirai bd (when it is up) re temporary outages is that it's the cleaning lady inadvertantly uplugging the server cable........ :)

Otherwise, things look .............promising :)

I have also heard that it is down for a site overhaul...possibly in preparation for a new release.

I heard that they'll come up with mirai 1.5 on Siggraph 2003. Maybe this is the reason for the site downtime :)

And it's gone again...

They're an odd bunch. Wonder if they noticed this thread and took the page back down to save as a surprise for Siggraph.

The Page had a picture of Gollum on it.

Well at least they are moving quicker than they used to.

Bay Raitt (http://cube.phlatt.net/home/spiraloid/tutorial/index.html), the modeler of Gollum, has said there will be a new version in the not too distant future. He has been working with the developer of Mirai to add new features. But it is a very small development team so progress is slow. :shrug:

yeah...

i'm sure i read somewhere that theres only about three peeps working on it :eek: and i think i'm right in saying that they are the original guys behind it too :D

very comforting :cool:

i'm going to siggraph too, so lets hope i can get to see some first hand action of the new n improved mirai...love to have a go with it [demo would be nice ;)] heard so many great things about it.

wait, thats what i do...;)
