Nice. The visuals in this film look awesome, especially love the monsters...

Isn't this the guy who did Pan's Labyrinth?

I love you guys. These reviews are awesome.
I had to skip some parts because they contained minor spoilers, though. Not that this is a bad thing, it just means that I'll have to wait until after I see it in order to read the rest.

Keep up the great work.

Great, tnx,

Btw plz show us more WIP images than final shots! we all love to see more and more from progresses from first steps to last ones instead of images taken from final movie! :) (especially from CG WIPs! like moddeling, texturing, etc! not filming and cinematic parts! like actors and other stuff back of camera! :| )

again tnx for efforts, mim ;)

I''ve been amazed by every frame of this masterpiece!

The creatures are fantastic!
I've been shocked hearing the words "I'm not a baby,I'm a tumour"
Nobody could have expect it! :o

Acording to me,each one of the creatures deserves a separate and detailed dissertation...
I can't choose my favourite...
They're the manifestation of the incredible talent (and work) of the Double Negative guys :applause:

Great read! Loved the movie! One thing I learned that I didn't know before was that Guillermo was once a Disney 2D animator! Thanks for the article!

No, it's Eamonn Butler, the supervising animator who used to work at Disney.
Guillermo is "just" an animation geek ;)

cowtrix: Yes man he is the same director

Hope one day I could work for him :D like the passion he has for ther work

That film was amazing, not just a bunch of FX (by the way - very well done)

I love the character design

See ya pals

P.S. I feel proud Guillermo del Toro born in my city

On an international level Guillermo's films are great.
The devils backbone was one of my favorite films and pans labyrinth while intensely depressing was also very good.
The sequel of Hellboy however was a bit of a letdown and I'm worried now more so about what he is going to do with the hobbit.

While the story was original and had brilliant art and concepts in it. The execution I felt could have been better, the plot points felt too obvious and some scenes (most of the scenes with the bubble-headed Johann) felt like they should have been left on the cutting room floor.

Visually Double negative did an amazing job but that's just par for the course for them.

I guess I went in thinking I was going to see a 9 or a 10 and what I got was a 5 or a 6.
But I'll still get the dvd.

Especially the golden army fight scene, and pull out at the end.. the CG was incredible. Thanks for the share!

I was a bit disappointed that Tippett Studio wasnt involved this time but Double Negative is always one to deliver the goods no matter what the pressure. Looks like I'm in for a treat when it hits the UK.

I've seen the movie and it was really entertaining. Do you know if there exist more references about the concepts in the movie ?

The VFX in HB1 were a little disappointing to me, this new movie is really showing
very good progress. Improving is the law in this business.
