Yup .. it still needs a pilot. :)
Nice shot, but as in the other pic of it.. there's something about the way you light or texture your aircraft that makes me feel that some highlighting or glare is missing.. not .. repeat not.. specularity. If you look at the space needle in the background the sun (or light source in this case) hits it quite sharply from the right just below the upper dish.. just that small touch adds a lot a depth. Surely the copter would be affected in a similar fashion. Great model. :)

You done it brilliantly.

I don't see why the rear skid isn't in focus

Like it a lot!
great visual effect, nice work!
well, how far from the tower to helicopter? or one of landing skid is a little bit over blurred?
thanks guys. yeah the skid got over blurred. It was just a test comp but yeah I see the errors now. The tower is cg too but was all played with in photoshop hence the blur errors.
xynaria, yeah its mostly an overcast type lighting. I havent finished spec and diffuse maps for the chopper but i'll try some strong sunlight lighting next
heres the chopper as is without the tower or rotor blur

the grain and colors AND those details make that image looks so real, dunno...just it really take some time for me to see that it is cg....but no, it still looks so real. Actually only thing of what i can understand that is cg is that there is no pilot in there:surprised
just..WOW:thumbsup:
thanks guys. I'll see about a wireframe when I get back to work. Here's an old render before textures and model about 75% done
It was made in Lightwave and all textures are hand painted in Photoshop.

Hey, that is awesome. Just get a good render out and you are on the front page for sure. :)
That is a AH-6J Little Bird, right?
yeah its a little bird, whether its an oh-6, mh-6, or ah-6 depends on the textures and extra's I give it I guess ;)
