Title: Twillight Priestess
Name: Alexandra Knickel
Country: Germany
Software: Painter, Photoshop

A concept for a larger painting work that went out of hand and turned into a finished piece

"She is the twillight priestess and it is her duty to keep peace between the forces of good and evil.
Every generation there is one girl choosen or better said cursed to become priestess, therefore she losts her name, her memory, her freedom even her health- her hair turns white and her eyes becomes blind over the time force to see far beyond imagination. She does not ear nor drink or sleep from that day on she is a vessel and the pillar of her realm."

There is much more story/info about, but I lack the proper english and it just sounds cheesy when I try to translate it anyway I know that her eyes are not totally blind in the painting and that she has a slightly silver look- but that s wanted and part of how I wanted it =)

ref used for the face, all handpainted from scratch

Im so happy to see you posted this one here. It is such a fascinating piece, especially with all the intertwining lines and colours. I like how you have made her features quite alien/ethereal. She doesnt just look like a woman with white hair...she looks...how to explain...Not like some human girl with dyed hair or a wig, but an unusual being with a natural complexion.

Cnell Thank you, happy you like her =)

Caelicorn, aww :love:Thanks alot for the feedback dear! Glad it shows that she is not that much human anymore (though still not finished in her transformation in this piece)

Very unique piece. I agree with Caelicorn - she really looks some kind of "out of this world". Really nice.
