Maybe its a bit too round. Its looks more organic then metallic looking.
a hint
huperNURBS weighting.
either that or subdivide once with out HN selected and drop it back into the HN obj.

Ok I did a subdivide and placed it back in hypernurbs. But the barrels look a little square to me but overall I think it's a bit better...thanks for the advice. definitelly looks more metallic.

Yes it looks better now but it still has parts that need to be un-piched.

would like to see the tips of each cannon extended..then maybe some holes in them....
like the housing part very good...
...what the hell do i know.
are you gonna place them on something?
around the barrel you should place a cylinder and then either alhpa or better boole to get the air holes effect. even thought its a space thing and no air cooling would work anyway. People still probibly want it.
ohh and if your barrels are to square dont worry its an inorganic object. which means that you can split the thing into multiple parts with out getting in any kinda trouble.
this wil allow you to subdivide to your heats content.

i think it is still a little bit too organic for a maschine ... normally a machine is built out of primitives with sharp edges ... perhaps some hydraulic hoses would make it a bit more real ;)
