So, I'm a Lightwave modeler.

I'm working on a mod for Freespace 2. I've got all my stuff set up and it's ready to go except for my custom models. Freespace uses models with the extension .pof, a format unique to the game which is made using a program I have. However, the .pof maker only imports Caligari Truespace Objects, and I can't find a copy of Truespace anywhere. So what I tried doing was importing my lightwave .obj files into Blender and converting them to .cob's through it. A bit complex, but I am left with no other options.

Now my dilemma comes up. In order for models to appear in-game, they *must* have a UV Texture applied. But lo, I have no idea how to create UV textures in Blender. I've searched for tutorials, but I found none helpful. This is the only stop in my quest to finnish this mod, so please help.

I'm wondering how you went about searching for tutorials.

I just typed "blender uv textures" into Google and the first result was this:

Which, pretty easy I think.
