Let me show you my latest work.Portrait from pencil sketch. Use some my own references for the hand and character's pose. Working with Painter X and Adobe CS3 during the week.

Katarina, I'm sorry to go against the flow but I don't think this is one of your best works.

If I'm allowed I'd like to point out what holds it back for me, I hope you'll take it the way it's offered, as constructive criticism.

First what I like: the colors work very well and I love how you did the lace ruffle on her sleeve and the feathers of the fan.

But her pose feels awkward to me (her right arm, mostly, it feels forced and rather unconfortable), she cannot possibly 'hold' the shoe with her left hand in that position, if you meant for the shoe to levitate over the hand by magic I'd suggest to have it a bit higher, right now it looks on a tangent with her middle-finger nail . Last, her left eye-lash confuses the shape of the eye, so that the eye looks like it was straight instead that turning like the face.

Just my 2 cents, of course, but I hope that at least I gave you a bit of useful food for thought.

WOW! That's really beautiful! I love the colours (I'm a big fan of purples and blues) and her eyes are amazing, as is the shoe!
