Hi
I am currently studying through animationmentor.com and working on my shortfilm. We are given pretty good rigs to work with for our assignments but for my short I will be needing a cobra.
I am quite an amateur at rigging and since this shortfilm will be going on my character animation reel I would like it to be good enough for that purpose.
The main thing I need is a good facial setup and controls. I can only do blendshapes myself but a joint based setup would be ideal since it's far more flexible.
It also needs to be able to hood up like cobras do, although blendshapes might be the easiest route for that, in which case I can manage that.
The actual body should not be too hard because I won't need the snake to slither around
as it will be sitting in a basket for the entire time, however, he needs to be able to strike and use his tail like a limb.
I will also be doing the modelling but if anyone is up for that please do let me know as well.
(see attachment for character sketch)
Thanks
Cobby
