Hello everyone...
I'm a begginer in this CG world, my name is Pedro, and I'm from Brazil.
I'm kinda new to this forum, so excuse me if I've posted this thread in the wrong place, it seemed to me the right place to do it.

I installed XSI 6.5 here, but everytime I want to open the program, this error appears:

Error: Unable to save object (Default_Pass) of type ([CLSID\{BFDAF164-5DD8-4422-9F1E-35527CDC2A02}]: %SUMATRAPATH%\rendercore.dll)

I've already tried uninstalling and re-installing, but it didn't work. =P

Can anyone help me?

That is exactly the kind of question that support@softimage.com is indicated to answer.
If you have 6.5 it means it's either essentials or adv, so you are entitled at least to "get it running" support.

anytime XSI goes 'funny' I use the 'runonce.bat' command from a command panel*

If this doesn't help call the support guys :)

*Open an XSI command prompt(dos like shell) from the Softimage>SoftimageXSI6.XX>command Prompt

It looks like you are running on Vista.
If so, to successfully run runonce.bat, you will have to use an elevated command prompt (http://www.google.ca/search?q=vista+elevated+command+prompt).

If the problem still occurs after you run runonce.bat, you may want to check if runonce.bat reported any errors. To do that, you may want to redirect the runonce.bat output to a text file (eg run this command: runonce.bat > runonce.log). Then you can open the log file and check for errors. Note that you can ignore the error about sidiolayer.dll. That DLL is installed only if you have an Avid Mojo.

Since the reinstall did not fix the problem, I suspect a permissions problem...not everything got registered the way it should. Running runonce.bat in an elevated command prompt should fix things up.
