Please, Id love critique on this one.

Eyelids are not closed nor open, they are at that position, so that I could texture them well (aka this is not eyes-closed position)

Well i am in no possition to Critique as i am terrible at modeling heads, but as you want it and no-one else has yet, i may as well.. so here goes.umm..... oh... no... err..... ah. The cheeks look a bit umm... square? not square really, but un-smooth i guess. mainly in that latest render the head on our right, her right cheek suddenly sticks out. ( idunno if that made any sense, i am a bit tierd, sorry) also the back of the neck has a strange bump, im not sure if this exists on some peoples necks, i cant see it on my neck.

Anyway, Very nice modeling, better than i could do i think. I especially like the ear, looks really good IMO. Keep it up.

I thank you!

Teh neck thing is thete cause I havent gone over it yet.

About the cheek.

The picture on the right, did you mean HER right cheek, or right cheek from our perspective? Anyways, there is a strange bump below the cheek, and Ill try to fix that next time.

Thanks for the comments though! I thought cgtalk people would not comment my work, btu you proved me wrong. Thanks!

No problem, i recently did a thread in the Cinema4D area of these forums, didn't get any reply's other than a friend who had been following my progress anyway... posted it in the WIP area and have got a few replys now
Yeah, post more pics once you have fixed those things obviously, and again i say good job on the ears.:buttrock:

Me again.. hi!
Yeah the nose looks better now, as you still want Critique....umm... i can't see anything major other than the neck problems, the only other thing that draws my attention is the mouth, (which is probably one of the hardest areas to get right) from some angles it looks good but from others it doesn't look quite right IMO. Maybe its just the fact that it gets brighter between the lips when it should get dark because it is in shadow.
Anyway, keep at it.
Caldie Signing off.

Thanks!

I fixed the neck also now and did some other small changes, nothing major though. No pic...

Anyways, I began with the texture, so we'll see what comes of it. Texture is one helluva hard thing to do... Especially with mouse, I need Wacom soon.

IMHO.

The cheekbones seem a bit shallow compared to the cheeks...

Maybe the eye sockets, the relief just over the eye, seems a bit low to the eyes... It gives sort of a scowl look to her? It may need a bit more depth there?

Also, the forehead / upper head seems squarish to me... ie: some features seem flat to the front of the head, instead of naturally smoothing around the sides...

It's progressing really nicely though. I've never built a head, so I hope this makes sense...

Thank you demo38, I will definetly consider your critique once Ill refine the model more.

btw, does someone know any good shots of female eyelids closed with some makeup on?

First shot of WIP skin. No material settings, so dont look for realism yet. Just the color map set on the face. I used the typical cylindrical mapping, but final needs some adjustments.

The eyebrows are too long and lips map is a bit out of place, but in general Im happy with the progress. Havent done much on the skin characteristics on the face, so will get to these later on.

Critique is welcome...

Looking good:thumbsup:
Im not quite sure about the eyebrows shape, but i guess if they are plucked maybe they would look like that?
Skin texture looks good, although the specular looks a bit too much IMO. Lip textures are really good, well done.

Modded the head shape quite a bit, and personally Im satisfied with the current state. Some little tweakings still needed, but Im going to focus on texture now.
