View Full Version : Win98 Audio Volume Settings won't stick
singularity2006 05-29-2003, 07:01 PM Aight, anyone have any idea how to set the audio properties (volume) such that when I restart the comp, they don't go back up to full blast? I can't get it to stay where I set it.... and full blast is a bit TOO loud.

damn i had this. can't remember what was wrong though. try uninstall and reinstall of drivers. go into device manager if u see yellow question marks then that might be the problem. mine kept going up to the max instead of being normal. but i've totally forgot what i did. go to 2000 pro runs faster than 98 on my old machine.

maybe one of your programs messes with your audio
some apps / games don't have an internal volume setting, they adjust the windows volumes (winamp for example)
