Title: Death Knight
Name: Angel Nieves
Country: USA
Software: Lightwave 3D, Maya, mental ray, Photoshop, ZBrush
This model was originally done for a short film by a good friend of mine. I worked from a concept drawing that was given to me at the beginning of the project. I first started with modeling in Lightwave and then I moved the character over to Maya where I did everything else in the image. The character and environment were also sculpted in ZBrush.
Now that this is finished I can move on to other ideas I have... I think the next image will be a sci-fi environment.
Any comments are always welcomed.
Cheers!

I was having issues with the color profile, it is showing a little darker than it actually is. Thanks for the comments:thumbsup:

When I saw this I thought WOW this character should have been in Oblivion.

The final composition looks solid. The only thing i see that stands out from this render is how dark it is, but someone already commented on that. Also maybe a little more age to the bones that make up the Death Knight. Compared to the bones in the background the bones of the Death Knight seem to be cleaner.
On second thought since the Death Knight is reanimated maybe his bones would be cleaner since he moves around in wind, rain etc.. compared to the bones that just collect soot and dust. :)

Thank you guys for all the comments and suggestions!
@sagleon, I think you are right, the bones can use a little more weathering.
@MikeTex, thanks, I showed it to someone that used to worked there and he loved it, yet again I knew he would, he loves all that sort of thing :)
@Ramon, thanks buddy! I can't wait to make that ship you designed. I just love it.
@wburns, Hey man! what a great surprise to see you around here! I hope to see some of your awesome work in the forums!

here is an update, weathered the bones a little more and added some highlights to the cape, I also tried to fix the color profile issues...

Looking great! The changes you made really help to pop him from the background.
