I am trying to animate a camera about one of the zygote characters as a test for some work I will be doing. I want the camera to orbit the object in a very smooth way so the the subject stays in almost the same place (left thirds).
I used a circle as the aline to spline path fo r camera. If everything were meant to be dead center, I think it would have been easier, but as soon as I offset the target , I have to begin to compensate for it subsequently.
I have it close , but the camera keeps swaying aroung and I know it has to be something to do with the fcurves, but all my editing just messes things up.
here is the file , any help in how to set this up will be appreciated greatly.
the file is here

I tried editing the animation path in the
viewport, but doesnt seem possible. Tha t might have been easier.

Thanks

why not simply put the camera in a null and rotate the null?

mdme_sadie,
Sounds like an elegant solution I did not think about that . (Talk about thinking inside the box!.)
I shall try it right away.
Thanks.
Looks like you are up late too :) . Its almost 3am (note to self: gotta go to bed.)
