My wife teaches sign language and loved your animation. She can hear, but her mother, father and younger sister are deaf so it was nice to see someone finally take time to include the deaf culture in computer animation.. Great work

WeirdoStudio, I am glad to hear about that. Thanks!
There are some deaf people working at Vcom3D. Currently there are 2-3 deaf/hard of hearing people working in the Deaf Education department. I'm the only deaf artist in the Artist Department and animated this.
Glacierise, thanks for your comment! I like your interior work. Very nice.

This animation is really nice to see. Watching the movements of the character and reading along was interesting, because it seemed almost like he was pantomiming the scene, like charades. Also, I'm sorry but I couldn't help laughing when I saw that the movement for grenades is pulling the pin out with the teeth!

sebbonaparte, yeah interesting observation :)
Yes, there is lot of pantomiming found in ASL. I think it is a very visually expressive language. People can be creative and act out phrases instead of signing word by word without losing their point. "The Forest" gives a good example of that.
