Hi, everyone.
I got some trouble with maya's reflectivity,
the problem occurs when i try to add file texture to maya's blinn shader,
mental ray dont see it!! But any maya's procedural texture works fine and software render also works fine with any type of texture...
I check mental in maya 8.5 - and everything pretty good...

P.S. tested on 2 different PC

you check the render log? Is the file format for the texture something Mental Ray can read? MR doesn't do well with certain file types, or certain compressions within certain file types (i.e. TIF compressions)

I tried different formats, even *map, and stil no success :(

Only the first image looks correct to me, but that one is the "2008 etx 2 MR" render, so I must be missing the point. Are you tryingto mask the reflection maybe? Not sure....

What attribute are you mapping the file texture to? Could this be a failure to set the "alpha is luminance" flag? If so you are not the first to be tricked by that one.

Yes, I tried to mask the reflection.
"Alpha is luminance" saved me :)
