Hello, just want to say, what a great site this is~! Very helpful and good people. My first time posting my work here; kinda nervous..*gulp*... This is my second attempt on a human character, done using polygons in Maya. Helpful comments, critiques very appreciated :)

Oh, btw, I didn't make the fire - put there just for fun, lol
These pictures are from some pose testings I done before starting my animation.

The model is pretty good. I really like the hair and the uni.

Some crits. watch the halo around your image because it's pretty distracting. Also, look at how his hand and wrist is deforming. See the bottom pic how his wrist (that is out stretched) is square at the bind. Also watch how square his chest is. The bottom image seems to show that his chest is still pretty square or it might be the deformation. The textures on the face could be beefed up a bit also and pay close attention to the modeling of his eyes. In the top pic he looks like he is crying.

These are some picky points but over-all it's a good start! Good luck!

woohoo! I got responses... so happy!
picky? Picky is good! Thank you for the critiques RedSilas.. too bad I am not able to modify it now, but I will remember your suggestions and not make the same mistakes again on my next model (had too little lines at the wrist). And thanks Dogzer for your comment. really cheered me up :bounce:
*gulp* This board is filled with so many talents... hafta keep improving myself~!

Hi,

can I say your second attempt on a human character is successful.

Just some detail need to be redone. Ok the white rim you now. Teeth on the first image are like of gold. Maybe thats just a reflection but still...

And think that his torso is a bit box-y or its just a funny camera angle..

all the best
