View Full Version : Mirroring vertex weights in Physique?
Locutus 05-28-2003, 07:46 PM I'm manually assigning vertex weights within Physique (as opposed to using evelopes) and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to mirror the weight assignment from one side of a model to the other.
For example, I have the vertex weights assigned prperly for my character's right hand and I want to use the same weights for the left hand.
Can I mirror or copy/paste?
Thanks in advance!

First, you must travel to mount paine, where you will receive the golden rod of Thoklok...:D
I believe there is only one way to mirror weights in physique. It's through a script. Search for weights or physique under www.scriptspot.com and you should find what I mean. This is still a time consuming method, and you may just have to end up doing it manually anyway.
Also, please state your Max and CS version next time. It makes it easier for everyone.:)

Thanks, I appreciate your help. You're right it's always going to be a time consuming process, but it never hurts to investigate some way to speed up work flow.
Anyway, I decided to do it manually.

im kinda dissapointed...i found out just now as i am working ona rig...
Have you considered climbing Mt. Triskyn ? You'd have more choices in terms of scripts, and it works just as well with CS.
