I did'nt really know where to post this but since i use max i'll stick it in here. I was just wondering where to get sound effects to put on my animations. things like footsteps, explosions etc. are there websites that provide these or do they come on cd. any info would be much appreciated.

there are many loyalty free sound effects out there.
it just takes some time to find the right one.
have you considered creating the sounds yourself? I mean with explosions it gets a little bit more complicated (lol) but creating e.g. realistic footsteps should be possible.

I don't want to scare you off from asking questions here, so please don't take offense. This isn't a Max-specific question, nor even a 3D-specific question really. A search on Google for "free sound effects" should give you more than enough resources to weed through:lightbulb

When you have questions about how to actually use those sounds in Max, we'll be more than happy to help. And when you do, please use a meaningful thread title such as "Sound: How to add sound to my animation". This will make your post much easier to track in the long run, among other benefits.
