View Full Version : Turning off box display when moving viewports?
webwiz03 05-28-2003, 05:00 PM My sincere apologies if there is a truly obvious answer to my question. Lately in 3ds max 5 I've noticed that whenever I pan, zoom, etc in any of the viewports everything changes to a bounding box while the motion is being executed. It's not really a big problem, just a nuisance, as I'm used to being able to see my actual shaded models whenever moving the virtual camera around. I figured there'd be a simple way to change this in the display options, but my search for it has been unsuccessful. I couldn't find anything in the help file or manual either. Help?

Try the Adaptive Degradation Toggle in the Views menu. (or the o key) :)

webwiz,
The default shortcut to toggle this behaviour is o.
If this doesn't work, go to 'customize user interface' and look for adaptive degradation toggle.
