Country: USA

Hi guys,
These are more images rendered from different views. It took about 20 hours to finish big 3520 x 2090 pixels final image include some detail close up shots. But when I import these images from the other PC, their color show a little bit reddish, so I am not very sure which screen is correct, only hope it look right on your screen. welcome any comments. Thanks.

Simply amazing :)

I'd love to know how you did the texturing. It looks brillant even close up.

Especially those back lights ;D i'm currently doing the same car but not the same version ;D.

You workflow / process would be a great help.

Hi Kenrick, Thank you for your comment, I am not sure which part of texturing you want to know. The textures of car paint and tire are just made by Illustrator. I did not use any texture on the rear lights, only use a bump map on the interior face of the lights. by the way I use a mia-x mental ray shader on those rear lights.

Honestly, it's very simple, I think it's not very professional. some directional lights to simulate sun and environment lights, I put some linear decay area lights around the car to illuminate the car and the floor slightly. and more area lights to simulate some reflection in the background. Finally, FG.

I have three pieces of advice for you. I think the carbon fiber on the front bumper looks stretched. Maybe it's just perspective, but I don't know. The paint doesn't look like car paint. Maybe that's the look you were going for, but I think you should bump the spec and hardness levels up and see what it looks like. Also some of the seams are not smooth. Where the hood meets the front bumper, also above the tail lights, there are some places that need worked out.

Overall this is a really good piece. Give it a few tweaks and it could be excellent!

I do try to build a car paint will a little bit dull effect, I think that will be a cool paint effect especially for racing car. Maybe I can get a better result with tweaking the specular reflection channel.

Thank you for all your advice.
