Hello everyone, I seldom post but then I don't paint as much as I should. I did this today with Painter and my posh new a4 wacom, getting used to it after today, what a gorgeous piece of kit.
Anyway, this is my fourth attempt at a digital painting and my second attempt with Painter .
Any crits welcome, if you think it's a dumb idea, if it doesn't read whatever, colours etc. I won't be offended. Oh and the grass is just roughed in to see if it fitted.

This is a fun piece!

I don't care for the red glow in the center, it confuses my eye as to the time of day and the rest of the lighting, but I really like the bunch of robots, all the glowy eyes, and for some reason, I get a kick out of the happy little flowers and grass.

No better way to learn than by doing. Keep doing, looks good!

Thanks, I got rid of the red glow late last night, looks a lot better now and I aim to spend some time repainting with care. It started as a fun sketch that just got more complex that I bargained for. May as well see it through. Thanks again. Oh the meadow I hope to entirely repaint to be more delicate, finer and a more convincing scale.

How wonderful!

If this is your first "major" project, expect it to take longer than you think, be full of minor irritations that you will learn to work through and around, and don't forget to SAVE OFTEN!
