This is my first time working with 10bit film.
My problem is we don't have a workstation which can display the 10bit files, and we have no idea how to deal with the Cineon Converter.
Any way to ensure that I input a 10bit file to AE and output a 10bit file without clip any colors??

After browsing around in the net, I came up a way to work with, but don't know it's correct or not. Correct me if anything wrong please :P

1: Import the DPX file to AE and set the project to 16bit.
2: Add a Cineon Converter to the DPX footage and set "log to lin".
3: Import the Render images (Cineon format, Gamma 1.7, Render from Maya.
4: Add a Cineon Converter to the Render images and set "log to lin".
5: After finishing all the effects and before rendering in AE, turn off all Cineon Converter.
6: Output setting to .cin 16bit.

With those steps, I hope the images won't clip any colors.
Am I doing it right??
One more question is, should I change my display card's gamma to 1.7 all the time when I am working on 10bit Film??

:)

I think since you set your comp to 16bit will be no color clip, but I think AE uses the Cineon Internal LUT since he uses Log>Lin

---- From AE Help files
To convert a Cineon sequence from logarithmic to linear:

1- Select the sequence in the Project window, and choose File > Interpret Footage > Main.

2- In the Interpret Footage dialog box, click More Options.

3- In the Cineon Conversion dialog box, select the Logarithmic Conversion option, click OK, and click OK again.

- When you are ready to produce output from the Cineon file, it is important that you reverse the conversion from logarithmic to linear.

Sorry for not being able to help much

So we need to set our CRT Monitor's gamma to 1.7 everytime when we are working on 10bit log Film??

Also, rendering 10bit cineon cg file from Maya, how much is the output gamma setting??

Kinda confusing............
