Hello, it's my first post of my 3D work. It's not great though. It's mainly to test my character animation skill and maybe bring it to a better level so I can start working on my portfolio for Animation in college.

Here is my first character animation (other than walkcycle).

Tell me what you think please.

I plan to add more to it... any ideas? :D

And, I forgot, you will need DIVX 5.05 to view it.

It's a good start. Some crit.
First you need some more anticipation of the jump- more bind in the waste. Second you need more anticipation in the arms- more swing and fallow-though. Thirdly you could put in some left to right movement so it doesn't look so ridged. Another thing, it seems to me that the character almost jumps again after the jump when he goes to stand up. You might want to watch fallow through after the jump also.

A great book that helped me with my animation is Richard William's Animator's Survival Kit (he animated Roger Rabbit if you didn't already know)

Another great animation source is Mike Comet's web site, you might find it to be of some use.

I hope this has been helpful at the least! Good luck!
