Thanks for posting the postproduction slideshow. It's interesting to see some photographic techniques such as simulated filters being used for CG renders. That's new to me : )
The render breakdown is getting my interested in the compositing process and I think I'll play around with that the next time I'm in max.
Again, I appreciate you posting the walkthrough.

I was sure that it's rendered with Vray but turned out it was just MR Sun/Sky and Mental Ray and it totally rocks! :buttrock:

Nice piece and congratz. But I have a critique: I understand that the rusty textures give the piece a better mood, but it's too much evident how they repeat. In example, my unexperienced eye saw immediately that the big curved beams were instances of one of them because the rusty spots are repeating regularly. If I had no time to make different textures, at least I would have turned 180 degrees every other beam and upside down the texture just to try variation. Anyway really a nice work all considered.
