Hello fellas, does anyone know how to write a Per Particle expression that makes the particles die randomly along a given lifespan range? I tried playing with the Random range in the Lifespan Mode but it only makes the particles die out all at once towards the end of the Lifespan you type in. I'm trying to make particles die out randomly from birth to lets say 3 seconds.

Hey Sean.

What you can do is scroll down to the per particle array attributes, in the particleShape's attributes. You will see the lifeSpanPP is grey. right click and choose "creation expression"

Type in something like this:

particleShape1.lifespanPP = rand(.1,3);

where .1 is your min value, and 3 is your max value in this example.
