Title: Profit Front
Name: Michael Burgoyne
Country: USA
Software: 3ds max, After Effects, mental ray, Photoshop, Poser
This was a concept design for a game character modeling contest. He is basically a cyber punk Graffiti artist with a love of electricity. The base mesh was posed in poser, lighting and rendering from max and then painted and textured in Photoshop with the final electricity done with after effects.

Since there are no comments I guess you allready figured out that this piece has alot of problems.
1. The lightning/electricity. Absolutely terrible. Look like strings with a blue glow.
2. The cape. No dynamics, looks like a piece of paper.
3. The body armour has no visible bump maps. Looks very flat.
4. That goes for the rest of the clothing as well.
5. The environment needs alot of work, wrong scale and flat.
6. Lighting needs to be improved. No shadows and totally flat.
This is supposed to be cyberpunk so I expect to see alot of neon reflected in the character together with alot of contrast.
Well, the list goes on. But fix these things first and post in the WIP.
Well first off thanks for the critisism. This is actually just a concept peice and not the finished model so I wont be doinf any more work on this actual piece but I will be modeling a character based on this concept. This was more a way to transform my ideas visually before I start modeling. This also explains the cloth and bumap maps becuse there are no dynamics, bump or normal Maps becuse they where all done in photoshop as well as all the textures. Basically this was a naked poser model that I clothed and textured with photoshop. Thanks again for the comments I see exactly what you are talking about and I will use them when I sart on the finished model.
