View Full Version : More muscles...and SIK
bobzilla 05-28-2003, 12:26 AM Does anyone know if it's possible to have Soft IK work on a rotating bone? Obviously it works in a chain along the length of the bones, but can the same dynamics be implemented on a rotation of the bone as opposed to the length?
Hopefully I've explained this properly...

OK. How about this: whenyou stomp your foot down on the graound, watch your thigh muscle. It moves around the thigh, not so much up and down,
THAT'S what I want to recreate. Just wondering if SIK can do that or something in Cinema would help me.
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

It seems there must be a way to do it with SIK. I had origianlly bought the Dynamics plug in for this BUT that didn't quite work out. I would like to know if anybody has used Dynamics to do muscle sims.
I did get a calf muscle to expand and contract using expresso, if your interested.

I used to get a similar action from Blunt Trauma's inertia node. Sadly it is not supported under V8...
