katon 05-27-2003, 11:24 PM ok i was wondering if someone could help me with this, i am making a car and i have perfect reference for it, say they are blueprints so they are all the same scale and everything, i am trying to get them into maya and all relate to each other corectly in each viewport but i can seem ot match them all up. does anyone have nay good ways to set up this stuff, and i did in photoshop save all my images the same size and all and also made them ,ine up right in photshop. any sugestions.

Well, if you make sure that the pictures saved in Photoshop are the same length (side and top view) for example. Then you only have to make sure that your images planes are also the same size. Wich is easy to do in Maya.

yeah good call, well ifixed the side and top veiw now, but i am having some roblem with the fron veiw for some reason, i think i should jyust fix it in photoshop that is probably my underlining problem. and thanks for that reminder, i hate when i forget little things like that

if you select your camera under view in your viewport, go to channel box. you can adjust alot of your image plane poperties there. you can also check your sizes and adjust the posistions there as well. i think its a time saver compared to going to your camera attribute editor.

thanks Levitateme for that little tip, i have always gone to the atribute editor and did not think to change sutff in the channel box, that speeds things up a little bit. thnaks
