This is my first attempt at modeling something with out following a tutorial. It's a plasma cannon for a criuser or maybe a space staion i haven't decided yet. Could use some suggestions on how i should textute it.

Nice model.

Something I've been learning as my own 3D knowledge increases, is when you model something like this cannon, when you texture it, make it look used.

ie. rust, dents, dirt, grime.

Cool cannon. One tip on texturing--use Dirtynuts in the diffusion channel for great instant aging.

Hi, I can't seem to use Dirty Nuts I don't know where everything goes from the .zip file and for some reason my winzip won't automatically place files in the right folders.

As for the gun, Think it looks just a bit plasticy where the bevels are but it does look original.

Yeah, once I add some textures and should loose that plastic look. Dirtynuts? I never heard it. Where can I get it?:p

It's available from Plugin Cafe. Just unzip it to your plugins folder and you'll see it as an option in your material channels. You need C4D v7.3 or above.

Huh?!! What´s the problem? 7.3 is a free update.
