Hi! I recently installed Maya 2008 (I can already hear someone muttering, "I'm sorry."), and I'm having weird problems trying to start up a batch render. So far, rendering to the viewer works great. However, if I try to start up a batch job, it aborts, and I get the following error in my log:
MI 0.0 error 121002: failed to open /usr/include/mi/mayahair.mi for reading, The system cannot find the path specified.
Huh?
This isn't a Linux machine. So, it wouldn't find anything at "usr/include/mi" even if it were on my machine.
This is Maya "Complete." (Ah, there's some ironic naming.) So, it doesn't have Maya Hair. Why the heck would anything be looking for mayahair.mi?
Weirdly, my machine has mayahair.dll on it, but not mayahair.mi.
I've searched the heck all over my machine, and I can't, for the life of me, figure out where on earth mayahair.mi is being included, or how to make Mental Ray stop trying to load it.
Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this problem? I've looked around the forums, but I haven't seen anything related to this specific issue.
Thanks!
