I love all the info exchanged in these forums, reading here in the maya/rendering is where i spend most of my time.

I am an animator first, so although I do at times find all this to be completely insane!! I really do appreciate all the posts and all thet help.

I've finished a project and I feel i have to say thx to everyone in this forum section and dagon/ghost/zap specifically. =]

Now if I could only figure out the framebuffer passes... mmm i think some more animation instead! :)

The 12 second animation is posted in the finished work threads:

Thanks again,
Brian

thanks :)
Ya! check it out there are many threads, for me, seeing the difference proper gamma and tone mapping made to my normal process without changing anythign else, was nothing like what I expected and very very welcomed.

I think that part was the hardest to visualize before hand, and was somethign I always thought.. well yea maybe if I have time I can mess with that later.... but I see now its as standard as AO or any of the other 'normal' techniques we couldnt live without.
