From this visit, it looks pretty sick! But post a larger image so we can take a better look.

Looks good from this distance.

I'm interested to know how you did the fauna, is it 3d geometry or another trick? Really nice piece though, I like the atmosphere and you've done a great job with the textures to get away from a CG look. Is that the result of a 2d filter afterwards or is it straight from the renderer and due to your textures and lighting etc?

My only small observation would be with the menu? box next to the door. From a distance the depth on its right hand side kind of blends in with both the front of the box and the background, making it look quite flat. Perhaps just need to tweak the light around there to bring it out a touch more.

Obviously thats minor minor, overall great job.

Heh, sorry superfly I had it linked with the thumbnail image, but I guess most people don't do that here so I just switched it out... that should be big enough for ya ;)

Cameo, the fauna is geometry... as for the textures, some were done in Photoshop, and some were procedurals... but no it's straight from the render... and thanks for the tip on the box... I fixed that up :)

HOLY SH*T!!! That is amazing to say the least...I have a few questions...I'm definitely a newjack to 3D and I'm trying to get rough estimates on different things..

Roughly how many textures do you have on the door, walls and floor...Do you have one single texture or multiple textures with transparencies?

Also, how many lights did you use??

If you don't want to give away tips and tricks and sh*t, it's cool, I'm just curious as to how some of you guys achieve such realism...

And again, your work is absolutely phenomenal...

Ohh..wow...hahaha dude!! That's awesome man! Yea most people aren't into thumbnails here, so i was like, bleh, too small. ;)

2 complaints..and i'll be on my waya, the walls and floor textures seemed to be a bit flat in my opinion. Great textures don't get me wrong, just making em with a little more bump.

Other than that, fantastic work man, love it! :buttrock:

Great work and nice texturing.

Some critiques though.

The wooden chair and bench look too perfect. All the beams are perfectly straight and flat. Maybe work on that a little and get a bit more woody look out of those things. Same on the wooden panels on the doors.

Cool image, but needs a bit more work.

Is that supposed to be some kind of ivy on the walls? Looks very thick to be ivy and is also a long way away from the wall surface...

The doorway doesn't work for me -- there's not enough detail for this to be a main entrance, and makes it look more like a shed door. Try setting the door back further into the wall, create a more substantial frame, and put in a door stop/step. Take a look at real doorway to see what I mean.

Also, the upstairs window looks out of place -- that looks like super-new, clean, modern glass. Very out of place on a building that's otherwise so organic and weathered.... Something similar to the downstairs window would work better. Add some bump to your glass too -- even apparently flat glass has distortions to it.

Good reflections in the glass though!

Um...maybe have the door slightly opened...try opening the book on the bench and having it lay upside down, as if someone might have left it or just put it down to go back inside to get another drink or cigarette. Maybe try and diffuse the lighting and give it move of that evening look. A little more blue and orange lighting could help. trash is always eveident outside any bar...I find the camera angle to be a bit dry. Good shot, but lower the camera a bit or raise it some. I find this angle a bit over used in most environment post. Good use of textures and I really dig the vine work. Keep it up.

It's a nice render, the bump is a little too obvious on the ground though. Keep it up.
