Title: mer-chine 2
Name: Nick Pill
Country: Australia
Software: Photoshop
About 8 hours work. I wanted to paint a robot mermaid and ended up with this. I enjoyed putting an old school sailor at the old school wheel. The sharks where fun and simple, I didn't want to over refine the line work so as to keep the first rough's charm.

I love this! Great character design, I also love how you've created the colours too! Plus I love the turbines as well! And the bubbles!! I just love the whole image!
4 Stars!
Man, this is some piece of work. The way you've built the apparatus....I love it. Has a wonderful Jules Verne vibe, which I'm a complete sucker for. It's just one of those images that leaps off the screen - just brilliant work, Nick.

I have to agree with Phil on this one, It truly is a pick of the crop image, it stands out with its unique feel. Draws me in like a hooked fish!
5*'s, reminds me of the Abyss. Ive always been facinated with the under-sea and this captures it very well.

Yes, I like the use of colours, this sea is very deep and mysterious!
....ah, fantastic detail on the turbine.

The design of the vehicle is great, and the sea critters are well done also. Excellent colors, excellent atmosphere, and the painting style seems like something more classic than is usually used on subject matter like this. 4 stars!

I'm just loving this rough charm! Makes the whole concept vivid! ;)
Actually there are many interesting details there, though! I also love the lightning and colors! Accordingly this is a great piece Nick! Imho, you'd just keep doing this "fun-painting" stuff, because it brings out the your essence of art!!
Keep at it man!
