View Full Version : lm2dmv + bsp 2 = crash

has anyone rendered a motion vector pass using the reelsmart lm2dmv shader with bsp 2? every time i try, maya crashes completely. does the shader need to be re written to accommodate bsp 2?

Excuse me if this doesn't make sense but isn't bsp2 supposed to be an acceleration method for raytracing? At least it's it's under the raytracing section in render global. Then the output shader lm2dmv wouldn't need it in the end?

thats kinda what i thought too. i dont need raytracing to get a motion vector. but, if i'm using a framebuffer workflow i can't set a custom attribute for one buffer. (afaik) it'll render to like 2%, begin cutting the frame up and i get a c++ error, then it crashes.

so far my workaround is to use a render layer and set it from there.
