The dell 24" wide screens. hands down.

I have two and they are great in terms of colour and the response time is good. I've had one for over 2 ..almost 3 years now and its still going strong compared to my brand new one.

:)

oh and dont double post! :P

It's all down to the panel type, search the forum and you'll find LOADS of posts about LCD's.

Just make sure if you got for one you are getting a full res one, and not a 1920*1200 resolution stretched by using larger pixels. It looks nasty and is a bit of a rip off if you ask me. :)

Sorry for jumping on your bandwagon here but I am in the same situation and looking for a good display for my CG work.

I'm based in the UK and my budget is around £200 - £350.

I've set my scopes on the Dell 24" as I'm hearing some good things about it.

Having said that, I saw a viewsonic 28" screen for around £350 , link attached:

Its a stupid price for such a big screen, but reviews online have been mixed with many complaining of poor colour accuracy. Are there any screen out there bigger than the 24" with a good reputation while not being too pricey?

go for the 24" dell. If you find it a little bit too small, do what I did... and buy two. ;)

The 2407, 2407-HC, and 2408 are S-PVA panels as far as I know.
